Ford Wind Tunnel (11/1/11)
With special thanks to Ford and Jacobs
Engineering, the team was able to take the FHR 2011 to full scale wind tunnel.
The team spent the 8-hour shift validating the CFD models, tuning the balance of
the car, and prototyping new aerodynamic devices. It was truly a
once and a lifetime experience for the members involved and a key to the future
development of Formula Hardrocker Racing.

FHR 2011 Progress (1/20/11)
With the switch from
FSAE West to the higher caliber Michigan competition, the team lost over a month
of testing time. These time constraints have caused this years team to
put an emphasis on parallel construction. The frame is complete except for tabs,
with suspension following close behind. The corners, engine, and
aerodynamics are all being manufactured in unison at this very moment.

FSAE West 2010 Results (1/19/11)
A 2nd place was achieved
in both Autocross and Skidpad, putting Formula Hardrocker Racing ready for
victory. On the 16th lap of the 22 lap endurance event, the Aprilia engine
suffered an unexpected failure leaving the engine's internals in pieces and
bringing our season to an end. 7 of the 10 fastest cars at FSAE West failed to
complete the endurance event.
The results for FSAE West 2010 along
with pictures of the complete car can be seen on the
FHR 2010 page. To see what competition was like, a
video was made with pictures and video of the
team.
